Hey guys,

I went to my usual doc to get my shot and he said that he would write me a letter for any GP incase i needed someone else to do my shot if he wasnt there.  Personally, i feel it was all to do with money seeing as i told him i would start to bring my own T and would only need to pay him $200 for the shot instead of $600...Shame seeing as he is the only doc in HK who is experienced in GID.
Anyways, when i left and came home i read the letter and realised that in the message he wrote '...and she is receiving...'  Is it me or should he have written 'he' for me?  At the top of the letter he had to write my name then 'Female/20Y' which i thought was hard enough but then using female pronouns for me in the body of the letter?  I dont get it.  Surely if he was experiencd in GID and had respect for us he would have used 'he'.  Aargh...
As some of u may have read before, i had difficulties in getting my title changed to 'Mr' because of my ID card.  Eventually got it done but then a week or so ago i saw they had changed it back to 'Ms'So wrote a letter of complaint.  Obvioulsy, I was asking my title to be changed again to 'Mr' therefore that's how I expect to be addressed.  In their reply they said "Dear Ms. O'...".  That was it, I started to write another letter back, and seeing as it was a guy who answered my email, I wrote back to him and addressed him as 'Ms'.  I said how I found him very offensive yadda yadda, then in the end mentioned that 'not to worry, im just going to write a letter of complaint to the bank saying how disrespectful and uncooperative the staff are.'  Got an email back from someone else saying that this case is now under investigation (I was addressed as 'Mr' this time') and sorry for any inconvenience caused.  So...will see how this one pans out.

That sucks.  No real advice as I don't know how things are run in HK.  Your doc sounds like... ugh.

But as far as the bank thing goes... I'm wondering, if you would communicate with them either in person or on the phone (instead of via e-mail) it might drive the point home a bit better.  By the looks of your chin strap, I'm guessing your voice has already dropped into male range.  I've had a few occasions where getting things changed over was easier just because of my appearance/voice (granted, those weren't legal documents).  People believe what they see/hear...

I actually went to the bank to speak to someone about changing the title and they said they couldnt because of the ID card.  But yes, i could try calling them.  See what response i get first.
