From all the feedback on that home laser kit, the key here is patience.

Those that reported poor results seem to be impatient. One of the successful respondents said it takes time.

I suppose as I am crazy enough to have a Rio 60x then I'm both sore, and after 6 months.....impatient too..  :-\

You might be lucky with the single hair ones if you successfully target the hair follical on open areas of skin, but forget the scanners as the movement is too crude and they burn (we are talking serious endurance pain here, over a minute+ and not a quick salon "zap") ;)

....and if you thinking lager areas even close to salon lasers ...no chance.

A lot of the "patience" reports are so suspiciously worded, that they may well be written by the sales team to get you to keep the things outside the money back period, before finally realising they don't work as advertised.

Chrissty.

You may be right about the positive feedbacks. I have absolutely no experience with any hair removal products other than a pair of sissors.

But I should point out that, in the UK, the return period is 12 months. Though I should also point out that British people have a reputation for not complaining. I do and an usually treated as a nusance. I had a problem with a major supplier a few years ago and embarked on a letter writing campaign to anyone and everyone. It took a year for anyone to take any notice but I did eventually get a full refund and they didn't even ask for the return of the products.

Having said that, the US version will need to be rather different in design, if only because you use 120volts and 60Hz.

I really wish it did work better .....but I have minimal, if any result, for a lot of time and pain.

I doubt that they need to re-design the unit for the US market, as it uses a separate mains adaptor to supply low voltage to the unit.

For my money, I'll take your review over anyone else's Chrissty.

I agree.  I am very much leaning toward letting a professional do the job.  $160 for 3 hours.

Thanks Sis.

Hugs.

Even a limited number of "pro" sessions should give a lot better results than one of these home units Sis... ;)

Good Luck.. :icon_flower:

Actually I have to agree for a large area.

Remember our use is only for isolated single hairs - so probaby not representative.

If you can afford it pro is always going to be the best option.

Good Luck

I think that I will go with the pro.  I can afford the $160, even on UI.  And I want to concentrate on the dark hairs for now.  Then worry about the grey ones.

Thank you all for you advise and comments.

;D,
