Hi there ,
my name is Jasmin, iam 21 years old, MtF post-op since six months, on hormones since my 19th birthday. I have researched a lot, and found out, that this forum is a very good and informative place to ask questions about surgery, specially FFS.
Iam looking for a FFS-surgeon who performs Sliding genioplasty and jaw recountouring and who has great experience with it and also great results. I have already had a Chinb-burring Procedure where they did take away 4 mm but i felt like the change is to minimal, and my chin does still look masculine.
I want my chin to be less square, more round, shorter, narrower and more feminine. Its still to long and has too much width for a female chin. Besides i wanted to ask, if there is a procedure where you can shorten the jaw (NOT the chin) , my jaw is VERY VERY long, and i feel like this also makes me look more masculine.
Thanks a lot
Jasmin

You do not necessarily have to go to an FFS surgeon for jaw contouring, in fact, I would recommend against it unless they (like Dr.Ousterhout) have a degree in maxillofacial surgery (jaw surgery).

Rather, I would suggest locating a maxillofacial surgeon in your area who can perform jaw contouring for you.

Living in a large metropolis, I had an abundance of qualified surgeons in my area and have opted to go that route. To find someone who specializes in this area to streamline my jaw.

I am having a mandibular angle reduction which removes the bulk at the back of the jaw which gives male's that square jaw appearance and having a genioplasty performed that will reduce the width and height of my chin for a more female appearance.
