Sort of, cured hams get kind of sugary and some sausages.

Robin you might want to look into Orlistat if mayo is going to be a regular part of your diet. It's a lot of intense calories and I've found that orlistat really helps with that and once you get used to it isn't so bad.

Oh, and try fried jalapeno slices, my god they will blow your mind. Fry them in a well ventilated place until they're crispy and eat them like chips. I'd also suggest shiritaki noodles, if you cook them right they are yummy and not a lick of carbs.

How long have you been low carbing honey? I stopped recently, but I don't feel quite right and am about ready to go back to living that way. Seriously look into the orlistat, it prevents some of the fat from being absorbed. It's a little traumatic at first, but once you get used to it things move a lot better and I used it to get out of plateaus.

I have been low carbing for about November 16th this year. So not that long I guess, a month and a day. I've already lost 25 pounds.
Thanx for the info on orlistat.  ^-^

it was very tastey!

I read on wikipedia that a multivitamin that contains A, D, E, K and beta-carotene should be taken before bed if your on orlistat. Is this true, or do you really need to. I'd probably forget all the time if I had to take it before bed.

orlistat interferes with your body absorbing oil based vitamins, hence the list.

I only take it with extra greasy meals, like pork shoulder steaks or bratwurst...or for a week or two here and there to nudge stuff along. You do need to take the multivitamin but ya should be doing that while low carbing it anyway, plus vitamin c.

Congratulations.
I eat a lot of tuna, fish in general and chicken. I just  don't use mayo because of the fat and calories. Capers are pretty good with the tuna, like the hot sauce also. While I started on a low carb "diet" I really just changed my eating habits to include less carbs. Egg whites are also a good source and long with hot sauce of course , everything taste better with hot sauce.

Low Carb rocks.  I am on a maintenance diet where I eat no carbs after noon, and it still keeps the weight off.  I was on the South Beach diet for 2 years, and I am still within 3 llbs of   my goal weight.
I eat Turkey (usually ground), chicken, (skinless), and lots of veggies and salads for dinners.
