Just being diabetic type 2 (insulin resistant), I have doctors that basically treat me as a guinea pig.
Google-ing information does not seem to produce the best results.

Does anyone have knowledge in this area?

This is a strange place to look for information about diabetes.

Having said that, I am diabetic, taking both oral and two different insulin shots.  What kind of information were you looking for.

Personal experiences mostly. Dibetes information that was actually helpful I have found in some really odd spots like obscure books in the library.
I am not on insulin.

I had no bad interactions from HRT.  It did not raise my blood sugar or cause any other diabetic problems (that I know of).  The doctor monitored by blood every three months.

My blood glucose has actually been more stable and I have finally started gaining weight. A diet change of switching to higher (good) fats has greatly improved things.

I had cholesterol issues that were genetic but HRT seems to have raised the good and lowered the bad. I couldn't take statin drugs as they gave me bad muscle cramps but flax seed oil helped.

Recently my new endrocrinologist suggested that I may Not have type 2 diabetes.

I suggest always getting an Objective 2nd opinion when things do not make sense.
