Openly Transgender Primary Care Provider Joins Lyon-Martin

Lyon-Martin has an increasing demand for its services by those who feel underserved, unwelcome or unsafe in traditional medical practices. "Dr. Tamar-Mattis comes to Lyon-Martin with a passion for service," says Karin Jaffie, spokesperson.
Dr. Tamar-Mattis has recently completed residency in the widely acclaimed UCSF Santa Rosa Family Medicine Program. Previously, she served as assistant director of San Francisco's Dimensions Clinic, serving LGBT youth, before attending medical school, in part supported by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence 2005 Economic and Social Justice Scholarship.
Most recently, Dr. Tamar-Mattis founded TransSonoma Transgender Wellness Project to bring much needed medical services to transgender patients in Sonoma County.
