How long do you have to wait after SRS before you can go swimming?

Anyone?

Oddly enough, this is something I've wondered about also.

But it seems from descriptions that nothing is very comfortable for awhile

I think the real limit is being very cautious on communal water (swimming pools, hot tubs) and infection.
Even with bathtubs in a private home it pays to be very cautious and obsessively clean.
If you have no complications you will never know exactly how over cautious you were.

Your surgeon will probably say two or three months wait for swimming.

Back along they used to advise around 3 months before any sexual activity and I took that to apply to things like public swimming pools too. I gather from Renate's post that things probably haven't changed.

Of course if you have access to a private pool then that would be different as then you know that the water is being properly managed and also you know who you are sharing it with... In a private pool I would guess it would probably be ok after a month or so.

I believe my instructions were to wait at least 12 weeks. Unfortunately it was several months before I got to jump into a hot tub again.

I would say about 3 months as well but confirm with your surgeon or his clinic just in case.
Salt water is said to be good for healing.
