I had an odd experience today with trying to order a pair of breast enhancer inserts. Couldn't get through by either phone or fax - still waiting to see if they reply to my email. Anyone know if Super Gel Products is still in business, and/or other sources that sell these?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know how I missed that.  :icon_redface:

Thanks! :)

 Hi all,
I hope the link to the store's main page worked.
I found my 1-1 1/2 cup enhancers at a Maidenform store in an outlet mall!  They are silicone, just like the ones VS sells for over 2x the price.
So shop carefully, the internet is not always your best buy!

I will definitely look into Maidenform. As for price, the ones they had at the site I tried would have cost me about $50 plus a flat rate for shipping. Best price I've found online so far, but they've yet to return my email... :(

Hey everyone,

Walmart sells a silicone one cup size enhancers for $20 a pair. They don't seem any different than the expensive ones.

Love always,

No kidding! Thanks, I'll check them out.

I wonder what part of the store they'd be in...

Julie,
Look by the bras.  They can be kind of hidden sometimes, but they're usually on the same racks.  They have two kinds - the silicone ones and the water-filled ones.  The water filled ones are FAR cheaper, but the silicone ones will last longer I'm told.  I've had some for several months, and they look almost as good now as the day I got them.

And, by the way, in our part of the country, they're $15 or $16.

I never did get over to Walmart to look (stinks not having my own car *sigh*) but someone from the company got back to me.... all that changed was their area code.

Carol, are you a Valley of the Sun resident too? :)

It may sound crude but have you ever considered improvising or making your own. I have on occasions used quality balloons filled with wall paper paste. You get the bounce and can customise the silicone effect to your own needs.

Heh, I never thought to try wallpaper paste. :) I have tried filling balloons with just air (they don't last) and with water (they get cold - which can be a good thing in a hot tight bra - but they leak) and they work okay but the round shape doesn't seem to work quite as well as I'd like.

Hmm, now I'm wondering about the thermal properties of silicone and whether the ones I ordered will help keep me cool. :D

I would like to say here's one I made earlier....but I don't

I only suggested it as a makeshift improvisation but my early adolescent recollections of it are fun. You have to be industrious and efficient to prevent it becomeing messy. But it serves its function. You get a nice bounce, the weight is good making you very bosom conscious.

As far as the leaking problem is concerned. There are a few steps you can take. First, once filled, wrap them in in several layers of cling film. Then as a double measure put them into polythene food bags. Really seal them tight. Put a final wrap of film around and that should suffice. (in the event the balloon bursts it will also temporarily hold the leak until you can remove them.

I must stress do use the best quality balloons.

If your just starting out hey give you a good initial picture. They also allow you to experiment with cup size.

As I say it is primitive. the idea is you gain experince and move onto more expensive projects.

Have fun and if you have any paste left over you can decorate the living room with it.

Love and kisses

I made my forms using large paddle balloons  36" if  I remember right...anyway.
I filled them with the expanding water crystals that can be found in the garden center of your local walmart or home depot.    Basically they are a hard crystal that expands and turns into a gel when you add water.  A table spoon will fill a quart jar with gel.

I've used these forms off and one for over a year with no leaks.

I added the dry crystals to the empty balloon, then filled with water to my desired size. Burped the balloon to get all the air out then tied it off.    Lastly, I took a pair of old nylons and made an outer skin around the balloon to give it a better feel and look.

They move and look fairly real and the total cost was around $15.

edit to add:  http://www.watercrystals.com/   here is a site talking about the water crystals

Well you certainly learn something new every day - dry crystals...wow.

All this talk has started to rekindle my interest. I may give the concept a revisit. It was great fun doing it for the first time.

I will certainly get a pack when I go down to my local Homebase.

I was going to say!  Thank you for explaining.  I mean...when I hug someone, I don't want the other person to feel as if I had a pair of rocks stuffed under my bra. ;D :D

Have you looked at "Body Wonders" they work really well.  You can see them at this location:

But they are often available in most large retail stores, and reasonably priced.

Just a thought but are bosoms the be all and end all of glamour? A G -cup or an A-cup its how you feel not how you look that counts. What's wrong with more modest cup sizes like B and C.?

I am 5' 10", 165 lbs, and wear a size 16 dress.  My bras are all A or B cup and they feel just right.  I would be too self conscious with larger breasts.  For breast enhancers I have always been "cheep"--a pair of cut off nylons filled with birdseed.  I will have to try out the water crystals--that sounds like an interesting idea.

Hi,
I am 6'2" and wigh about 300. I wear a 48-C bra. I have been using water pads from JC Penney along with a few cut up padded bras. Quite crude but effective - as long as your top is covered. It would not look to good with a strapless top.
I am waiting for some silicone breast enhancers also ordered from Penny's. The delivery got messed up and they are now due in on Wednesday. They come in A/B, B/C, or C/D. I tried a B/C at a lingerie store a year ago and they were not too bad. I bought the C/D and am anxious to get them. They were only $50.00. Hopefully they will be what I want. I know there are more expensive forms out there (probably better) but this is what my budget can afford right now.
Just for giggles - when I was younger I used tennis balls. Talk about a firm breast!
Will let you know what happens.
