The entry before this was about Mary Daly who passed away last Sunday.  The postscript I wrote this morning first as a comment on Feministe, hours later it is still "awaiting moderation" while several of the moderators have been posting comments on other threads.

I first had my "feminist awakening" in 1959.....that's not a typo.  That was the very dawn of the Second Wave Era.  I was already well aware that , as I explained it to myself, had a female brain while cursed with a male body and it was my father's patriarchal treatment of my mother that awoke me aided by the strong adult women on both sides of the family.
