Hi Junior, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3900 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out

...to answer your question any ole doctor can order labs. If you have some sort of health coverage you'll want a CBC with differential, testosterone total+free, PTT (clot test), Prolactin, and last but not least an estradiol count.

CBC with Differential
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
Lipid Profile
Testosterone - Total + Free
PT/PTT
Estradiol
Prolactin

That's what I get.

Contact your local LGBT center and odds are very good they can refer you to a doctor or clinic which can do what you need.

First well done for getting a blood test. But second, and as no one else has said it yet, PLEASE find a therapist or doctor to supervise you. Please don't self med.

Self Med can be really dangerous. I mean even if you get a blood test will you be able to interpret it?

You NEED a supervising physician. Actually strictly they don't even have to be a gender specialist. Just a sympathetic doctor. But personally I would suggest that if you are going to do this you should do it properly and go see a proper gender practicioner.

Self med may seem like the easy option at first, but later on when/if you want to progress further and start thinking about various surgeries etc you may find that having bucked the system leaves you even further back than you were before you started - because now, to get that all important referral letter, you will have to deal with a therapist who feels irritated that you broke the rules...

I didn't know people still used estrofem anymore. I remember using that in the 90's! if it's in tablet form it's not very effective. Spiro on the other hand you really need to be monitored with, and shouldn't be self medicating if you are on Spiro or any other anti - androgen.
