You might have noticed that I haven't written since Friday. It's not that I'm so busy. It's more that my focus is elsewhere. Or maybe all over the place. I'm two days away from flying to Montreal and six days from my scheduled surgery. And two weeks off hormones.

I don't know if it's lack of hormones or circumstances or both, but I really am distracted. If this blog entry lacks coherence, that's my excuse. I'm feeling good, in general, but I'm not feeling sharp. Mostly I want to make sure I pack everything I'll need—I get packing anxiety—and make it to the airport on time. After that, someone else can take care of me.
