Girls wearing makeup/heels

This isn't really transition related, but I'm mostly interested in the opinions of straight transguys. Or straight male SOs.

What do you think of girls who wear makeup? Think it enhances their features as they say? Does it just get in the way? Does it cover up their real features? Is it ugly?

Hey, and while you're at it, what do you think about women wearing high heels?

Just curious. I personally think it's a waste of time, and it covers up their real faces. Makeup is for clowns. High heels look rather uncomfortable, and I don't like women being taller than me (male ego warning.)

Girls who wear makeup, I'd have to say equal 90% of the female population. Some cake it on, some just do a little hear and there. Personally, I prefer a chick who doesn't layer on makeup. Natural beauty, is a beautiful thing. But I also understand, most woman enjoy "doing themselves up", and like perfecting their face to the best of their ability. As long as I'm not kissing your lips/cheek/neck, and coming away with a lip full of foundation...it's not a big deal.

As far as the heels go, OOOOOWEEEE! I find heels, extremely sexy, on the right chick. I used to have a issue with my girl being taller than me, but after dating a few, it's no big deal. Yeah it kind of bruises your ego having your girl taller than you, but who cares if she's looking fwine?!

I look at makeup as an art form, making a statement.

When the statement fits in with the individual, it has an impact.

My wife never wears any makeup and doesn't own any. Given her personality and the way others precieve her, it has as much effect as a talented makup artist.

It depends on the amount of make up. Hey some girls need a little and thats ok, but alot of the time i think it covers up how gorgeous they really are. And as far as high heels, I don't care if a girl is taller than me as long as she doesn't and if she has the kind of legs that look good in heels I say go for it.

For makeup..I have to say I like the natural look better. That's just my personal opinion. I think it covers up the good looks they already have instead of enhancing it.

As for heels.... I don't care if she's taller than me, if she's got some nice legs, by all means, bring out the heels.

It depends on the girl and how she applies her make up. There's a huge difference from a little bit of make up that enhances and make up that covers up everything, y'know? For example, you're going to have a very hard time finding a teenage girl who actually puts on make up properly. They make all kinds of mistakes, like putting things on that don't enhance anything, just damage their skin. Some of the stuff they put on doesn't really help toward anything. Which is why I think less is more. So, I like make up on girls, just as long as they know what they're doing with it.

As for heels, I don't mind... as long as she doesn't end up being taller than me. I could do without very easily.

i prefer when girls wear makeup just not too much. i am a sucker for heavy eyeliner ya kno the avril lavigne look. so if a girl wears just heavy eyleliner and nothing else that does it for me. as far as high heels im 5'4 and my girlfriend is 6 ft tall so high heels would be a very bad idea.

This I can agree with. That's really all make up is. I do admit that some women really don't get this and do it all wrong. I mean sometimes caking the stuff on can work, look at the japanese geisha, they just need to do it right.

Heels I am positive are uncomfortable, two sisters and a girlfriend, I hear it enough. It's just that they look good and help make the woman look good, it's just another accessory. Again things just have to fit the right way. If they things don't mesh, well, it just looks bad.

If you're doing it right there's a good chance of jaws dropping left and right. So I guess that means I like it.

Well, I'm bi, but I'm guessing you're wanting opinions from guys who are attracted to chicks, so I'll give my two cents'. My girlfriend wears makeup, but not a lot. Typically she goes with eyeshadow and mascara, and it really makes all the difference. She's pretty without, but the way she does her makeup, it accentuates her features perfectly. Some chicks, however, don't know s*** about makeup. I could definitely do without all the caked-on crap and whatnot... imo, unless you're on stage, you don't need layers and layers to do the job.

As for heels, I think they're hot on some chicks, not on others. For a girl who's short but has long legs, heels can emphasize the length of her legs, and also put the calves in a very aesthetically-pleasing position. However, they're unbearable (yes, I know from personal experience, way back), so I don't really recommend them to anyone. My gf is 5'9" (bio chick, just quite tall), so I've asked her kindly never to wear heels or platforms, since I'm a shorty myself.

Less is definitely more when it comes to makeup.

I'm into feminine women, so generally they'll wear makeup and heels, but I don't particularly care in the long run.

I think make-up, when done right, can be an improvement on any female. It depends on the individual and the event as to what "right" is.

That said, there's far too many women out there running around looking like oompa-loompas. That's never right.

Caked on foundation is nasty. I shouldn't have to wipe your "skin" off me. Ever.


Chicks in heels are great and all, but I don't think I like the idea of being around a woman with what amounts to weapons on her feet. That could go horribly, painfully wrong

They can look good on the right set of legs (no cankles please). They also lift the buttocks, and push the chest right out... bonus!

I couldn't ask a woman to wear heels, but if she did the extra height wouldn't worry me. I'm not worried about being the shorty - though the thought of being shorter than a woman I'm taking somewhere makes me want to wear a hawaiian shirt, sunglasses, a fake rolex and drown myself in bad aftershave. I... don't really know why .

I feel like makeup and facial hair are in the same category. Less is usually better. There are some people who can really pull off a beard or a heavy makeup look, but often times I'd rather just see the person's actual face without any distractions. I have this completely unfounded superstition that makeup and facial hair impede communication.

my opinion on make up is pretty much the same as what every one else has said.

Heels however, really depends on the girl.  No matter how hot it looks, she's gotta be able to walk in them.  I don't want to have to hear her complaining constantly about hurting feet, or be held back by a girl who is wearing heels she can't really walk in.  It really annoys me when people i'm with walk really slow because they are wearing stupid shoes. Same for girls who wear skirts in the winter and then complain about it being cold.    I'm more into adventure type dates than dinner/ club dates though, so it kinda kills the deal for me if a girl can't handle getting a little dirty or having to walk more than half a block.

ok ok, you said this was for the straight guys.. but SOMETIMES, SOMETIMES I am physically attracted to girls (shhh its a secret)

The kind of girls I find myself attracted to, usually dont have makeup, or at least not much.. I would say, just makeup on their eyes, some eyeshadow and mascara.. all simple natural colors.. not bright purple.

And I think that a quirky fun girl wearing sneakers or chucks is way cuter then heels, if I ever dated a girl I would want her to be comfortable and simple.
