LIVING on a pension can be a drag. But Ascot Vale promoter Kerry Wilson is hoping her low-cost drag shows will be just the ticket for local pensioners and low-income workers looking for a touch of budget glamour.

Ms Wilson, a transgender woman, said pensioners were often overlooked by entertainment promoters.

"I'm on a pension so I know how tough it can be," she said.
