Hello,
My name is Michelle.  I'm 38 years old born male, but female inside.  I don't remember much of my childhood which might be a good thing.  i am not sure when I started wearing my sister's clothes or other stuff to that nature.  The only time i was ever outside dressed as a women was halloween nights.  There are very few people that know that side of me.  I live during the day as a guy in jeans and t-shirt but at night I get dressed up in womens clothes and can be myself.  I did not fit in with the gay men most that i dated left saying i was too much a women for them.  I advoid the straight women all together.  I dated bi women and found the right one for me there.  When it came up about the clothes and other things she rushed out and brought some nice outfits for me. As for me wanting to be a women well we both wanted children. We have four children together and will be celebrating 18 years together next month.  I am still living a lie at least I can fool everyone else.  We live our lives as lesbians to a point at least she treats me like the women I want to be.

It is wonderful that you found a partner who understands you.

Each of our stories is unique, but we have lots in common here.  Pull up a keyboard, explore, and dive in.  There are a lot of good people here and lots of good information.

Thank you for the welcome. 
I am look forwards to explore more of this site and find out were I fit in.  I feel that I may fall into a couple of sections.  I thought about changing to a women but then I think how that would effect my children.  Plus I have to admit the fear of surgery and then I thought about going part way and stay as pre-op.

Welcome. Sounds as if you have a good situation. I always think that if your are comfortable where you are then that's fine. Others have a strident need to go to different levels (?) of tranistion but to my mind everyone is an individual and finding the comfort zone for you is most important.

Thanks again for the welcomes.  I did do a lot of exploring on the site really could have used this when I was a teenager, but the internet was not invented yet.
