I'm such a Gleek!  I love this show and the last episode was just so terrific!!!!  I'm a HUGE Kurt fanboy.  so much of his story reminds me of me in school - I'm always silently rooting for him over all the other characters.

This past episode they sang Defying Gravity from Wicked and it was so excellent!  I'm linking Kurt's version here:

Anyone else excited about this refreshing show?

I like the show, but I have far more criticism than praise for it. The songs kill it for me, really. What's wrong with letting the actors sing with whatever accompaniment they're showing on-screen? I know there's no orchestra accompanying them, so why do I hear it? And I can't get over how ridiculous the tangent about Shoe's wife's fake pregnancy is. I mean... can I just kill the woman and get it over with? Because she's really pissing me off.

However, I keep watching it. Kurt bugs the hell out of me... while I love gay men in general, he's the type that just drives me up a wall. Talk about stereotypes! Now, I realize the overly stereotypical characterizations are the point, but he drives me nuts. I love Rachel, and wish she'd get more screen time. And I must say, the last episode (I think it was episode 9) was great in its depiction of Sue Sylvester's humanity (can we call it that so soon, really?).

Basically... I like the show. Parts of it, anyway. It has kept my attention thus far, and the quality seems to be improving. However, terrible episodes such as "Acafellas" threaten to make me abandon the series completely.

The show is ludicrous and you have to suspend disbelief ALOT - but that is part of the charm - it isn't a primetime drama, it is overdone on purpose.  Go into it knowing that the show is going to be waaay over the top, and you go in with the right attitude for this show.

Cool that you watch it though!  I hope it gets more of a following!

Oh, I know it's supposed to be over the top. I'm all about shows that suspend disbelief. However, the couple of songs that have been done on the show without the aid of off-screen accompaniment have sounded amazing. I'd just prefer to hear more like them.

And I hope it has, or gets, a good following. After the last episode, I see a lot of promise.

so i did not watch Glee when it was on tv because i worked, but my fiancé got all the dvd's last night and we stayed up and watched them all and I AM A GLEEK, LIKE OH MY GOSH. i love kurt. i love him i love him i love him. i AM him wahhhHH.

i know that it's surreal, what with the singing in real life, the full accompaniment, but that's what happens in my head all the time. i WISH that happened in real life.

Well, just when you though that Glee could not possibly be any gayer, it turns out the Neil Patrick Harris is going to be on it for sweeps.

I TRIED to watch it once, for like 10 minutes and it was really slow, and quiet, so I didn't get where the Glee came into play.

...I'm a Gleek. I'll admit it. Glee is like my new favourite show to ever hit the television screen. ...Well, one of them. ...No, the top favourite. Mhmm.

And while I'm on the topic of favourites... Kurt is the most amazing thing to happen to TV EVER! :D I'm like totally obsessed with him. Haha. :P

...And oh yay!! Kurt is going to get a boyfriend! I am just about dying of fanboy joy over here. Um... more information on that is in the 'previous post' link on the one tekla posted.
(Also: Thanks to tekla for posting the article that led to me finding the one about it.)

Oh gods... Hubby's gonna catch me watching that episode with a big "cat-grin" and a giggle and a squee (I already squee at Kurt enough) and call me a twink for a month! (not that he doesn't call me a twink already... nor that it's not "accurate"... and stuff like that)
