I like the show, but I have far more criticism than praise for it. The songs kill it for me, really. What's wrong with letting the actors sing with whatever accompaniment they're showing on-screen? I know there's no orchestra accompanying them, so why do I hear it? And I can't get over how ridiculous the tangent about Shoe's wife's fake pregnancy is. I mean... can I just kill the woman and get it over with? Because she's really pissing me off.
However, I keep watching it. Kurt bugs the hell out of me... while I love gay men in general, he's the type that just drives me up a wall. Talk about stereotypes! Now, I realize the overly stereotypical characterizations are the point, but he drives me nuts. I love Rachel, and wish she'd get more screen time. And I must say, the last episode (I think it was episode 9) was great in its depiction of Sue Sylvester's humanity (can we call it that so soon, really?).
Basically... I like the show. Parts of it, anyway. It has kept my attention thus far, and the quality seems to be improving. However, terrible episodes such as "Acafellas" threaten to make me abandon the series completely.
