Two resolutions passed through the Student Association (SA) on Tuesday night that will potentially affect student life: gender-neutral housing and the addition of a LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transsexual) Studies minor. The passage of these resolutions signifies student support for these initiatives, which could eventually be implemented at GW.

Gender-neutral housing has been taken out of consideration for the upcoming school year, according to Michael Komo '11, chair of the Student Life Committee and original sponsor of the two resolutions.  Komo said that  Dr. Robert Chernak, the Vice President of Student and Academic Support Services, had already told him that iHousing, the system GW uses to place students in residence halls, has been set for the academic year 2010-2011.  GW's Board of Trustees will ultimately decide whether or not to provide gender-neutral housing options.
