A friend of mine encouraged me to try to do some poetry so I've done two so far, both untitled.

1.
Your arrogance defies and defines you.
Live in fear, live in pain.
Power is held only by those who fear.
Control is taken by those in pain.
Happiness is in the hands of the unconscious.
Seek wisdom without an ego. or,
Seek power without responsibility.

The greatest hero is the one who is himself a villian.
Holding back an evil the world need never see.
The greatest savior is in the mercy of the merciless,
the greatest joy, in being saved from absolute despair.
Honor is found in the extermination of absolutism.

Stop inspiring disbelief, and stop thinking you've felt pain.
Stop running, stop fighting, accept without definition.
Tear your reality and see what is on the other side.
It overlaps, but never supercedes.
Lay not catatonic, walk the other road as well.

Believe me insane or not, I don't care, just stop being so >-bleeped-<in pompous.

2.
I am the figure, sitting in the darkness
Sitting seeing, listening to your words.
I am the translator, the medium between.
I interpret, the things being seen.
To the mind's eye, I keep an ear.
Ready to alter, or transfix what you hear.
If you do assume one thing, i'll gladly cloud your eyes.
Saying one thing hearing another.
Unwillingly speaking to an unknown crowd.
I am in the air, through which you speak.
Altering, clipping, cutting your words.
A remixed tape, of things you had once said,
Plays for the one you speak about, unbeknownst to you.
The times you care to find me, and seek me out.
I reveal my veil, and share it as myself.
Yet when you kick me out, and think that you are rid,
You let me in again, to corrupt once more,
Many things you say, never reach her ears,
Many things you do, fall upon blind eyes.
Blinded by my cunning, or rather, manipulation.
They find themselves, not knowing their situation.
These things that I know, these things that I'll keep.

Only one has broken free.
Another is immune.
The rest-

So what do you all think? Any good?

:)  thanks for reading em.

got another one:

A child was born one night in a manger
the circumstances all the stranger
quiet out of fear and shame
she was no virgin when the baby came

three drunkards came upon her that night
moving quickly in their flight
with her their three gifts they left
treasures from their little theft

the garden of eden, the apple tree
how false could that story be
god wanted us as mindless slaves
because of that snake we all were saved

they're trapped in lies told long before
the "virgin" mary was a whore
I've seen those lies for what they are
the freedom to live is better by far.
