I am thinking about getting an orchiectomy, how long does it take to recover from it?  Is it beneficial?  Does it help the estrogen levels vs the T levels.  How long before you could go back to work.  Thank you all for your input.
Smile, everyone will wonder what you are up to.

to "recover" about a week, rx pain meds used for about 3-4 days, if pain (that vicodin doesn't fix) lasts longer then a week and there is discharge then the doc needs to fix their handiwork.

it doesn't affect estrogen, only that antiandrogens an be discontinued same surgery day, spiro is stopped in advance of srs because of interaction with general anesthesia supposedly. (by interacting with vasopressor drugs)

A girlfriend of mine got her snip a couple of weeks ago. She had sex the same night. *sigh* Girl's got a virile little boy she's running around with...

Her hormone levels went all ->-bleeped-<-ted up after her op, though. Some people here have posted they had to stay on, say, avodart after the op for best results. Others have argued that if you've been on AA for several years you can stop after the operation. I don't think there's much research on the matter.
