Oh we have our problems too, but yeah we pretty much have it better. There are a lot more similarities than differences, though. Youv'e got us on the throwing acid on lippy women and beheading barbers, I admit; but we also shoot doctors in the face and beat homosexuals to death on dark roads or cave in transexuals' skulls with fire extinguishers. I've never been to an Islamic state, but I've spent a lot of time in South America and Africa (technically islamic I guess but not like people envision). Take it from me, humans are monsters no matter where the are. I've put bullets into guys with nothing more than a machete in their hands, and I don't have the slightest bit of remorse because I know they were evil. I could smell it on them. I've fed little kids who hadn't eaten in days, secured clean water supplies, run off bullies and thugs only to be ordered out of the area and have all our efforts reversed by some douchbags in a couple nissan pickups.
So try to be grateful, I know how it sounds but try. Your student visa plan is good, it's a positive sign that your'e planning. The power of gratitude is amazing, every day no matter how sick you feel try to write down five things you are grateful for. Things like clean water and food count. I live in a dump, a tiny little trailer house, but I say "hi house" when I come home and am grateful to be warm. I have a problem with being overweight, a problem that most of the rest of the world would love to have. So, yeah...hang in there and try to be grateful for what you DO have
