Fort Wayne City Councilwoman Karen Goldner withdrew a discrimination protection bill Tuesday because of fears it would die before debate.

Goldner's bill would protect a person's gender identity and genetic information under Fort Wayne's human rights ordinance. After the meeting, she said she had learned earlier Tuesday that some members had decided to vote against introducing the bill – effectively killing it before discussion.
