I don't know how the banking system works in the US (I presume that's where you are - if not apologies but what I'm saying still stands, just change the country to your own!), but over here you can have more than one account with different banks. If that's the case there also, why not open a new account once you change your name, and leave the other one sitting there in your previous name so that you can pay cheques into it. You can then transfer the money into the account with your correct name so you can pay out using a card or cheque with your correct name on it. In the UK this is quite legal, as long as you're not doing it for fraudulent purposes - which you wouldn't be!
