Hi there,

I am now having to do some research into possible surgeons for gender reassignment surgery. I have a few names like Suporn, Bowers and Brassard. Also if any one knows the cost could they pm me.

I would also appreciate any one who has used the above surgeons and of course any other recommendations.

As of posting, brassard is $18,040 canadian dollars and suporn is 495,000 baht.
edit: both are "all inclusive" prices, transportation, aftercare provided, no staying at a hotel with brassard

I'll never recommend a surgeon even if I got the best results ever crafted, it would be my personal opinion based on my outcome. (which will be why I won't say "Dr. Reed is good" because it can become a glorified pissing match between others who think their chosen surgeon is a deity of medicine.)
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

Dr, Nguyen does a two step procedure.  First step is vaginoplasty for $15,000 and the second step is labiaplasty for $4000 ( three months later)

Dr Bowers posts her fees on her web site: www.marcibowers.com

Very wise words... We can all only speak of our own experiences and every doctor in this field, without exception, has had operations that did not go well. We're dealing with biology here, not car parts. Every human being is slightly different, so a given surgical technique will work differently from one person to the next.

Hence my PM which listed all of the UK surgeons available but without making any specific recomendations. The best way to decide is to do your own homework, look at the pics on the web, read the notes, email the surgeons - most of them will respond in person, and you can then get an idea of how approachable they are, and indeed whether they seem to understand where you are at. Then you pick one or perhaps two and go see them in person.

It takes time and in some cases there is a cost, but if you do the selection carefully, then if you are unlucky, and end with a sub optimal result (very rare) at least you know that it was your own mistake and not something that happened because of someone else's bad advice.

For the record my first result was ok, but not brilliant by todays standards, so some time later I went back to a different surgeon and the revised result is much better.

all of the top names will give you a good result it isnt a perfect science and revision is commonplace though

just comes down to preference and what you priorities and budget is

Hi Stardust.  I have been researching for my own GRS and since i will go to Thailand maybe I am biased.  Chettawut, Preecha and Suporn all seem to have good reports.  All 3 have quite good websites, some with pricing.
This is just my opinion.  As has been said, take your time, do your research and talk to the surgeon.

All the best

Go with the best that you can afford. My candidates were Brassard, Meltzer, and Bowers. Could not afford any of them so I went to Thailand. Went through absolute hell but I ended up with a decent result (looks like a vagina, 5" depth, orgasmic).

If you do leave your country of origin I highly recommend having a good friend along. I would not have survived my trip without my friend being there for 14 of the 27 days.

Hi Syne,

And thanks, Brassard is at the top of my list. Can you PM me about your experience in Thailand if you don't mind telling me. Suporn was another one but would rather it be Brassard of Bowers. I think Bowers is out after seeing her web page and the cost which seems several thousand above Brassard.
