"Dalpe, 38, states in her complaint that she joined the Christian Street YMCA in mid October to use the swimming pool but was barred after only three visits when executive director Michelle Stevenson demanded Dalpe's "proof of gender." When Dalpe returned with an affidavit from her doctor certifying her biological sex as female, Stevenson grabbed the paper out of her hand and told her to leave or else she would call the police".


What??  this is an outrage! >:(  Hopefully someone will do something about it like complaining, having this woman  fired or demoted, or having her apologize for her audacity. >:(

  It's so sad how people lump everyone together in ignorance.
  I just couldn't help but think how they make sex offenders register in every town for the safety of children (I'm not saying I agree or disagree with that) and how I read about some that fear transsexuals in churches may harm or pervert their children and fear which bathroom is correct with children in mind.
  It just seems that fear coupled with ignorance blossoms into unbridled foolishness when in the heart and mind of those in charge.
  And; it's always the innocent that get hurt.

I'm confused. Was the individual in question FtM or MtF?
Not that it matters either way.
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

Nero was confused because the affidavit said she was a biological female.  It must have meant anatomically. :P
