KATHMANDU, February 15, 2010  –  Gay, lesbian and transgender rights activists are demanding an explanation as to why Russian law is being imposed on the screening of a documentary film made by the Blue Diamond Society and booked to be screened at the Russian Culture Center in Nepal.

Centre coordinator Arseny Starkov cancelled the screening of the documentary, with the explanation that "sexual and gender minorities issues are against Russian Law and Religion".
