A Transsexual opera singer, currently awaiting SRS, has won a place at a prestigeous opera school after proving her ability to tackle both male and female roles.

Apparently she has an amazingly wide vocal range, which I find fascinating because although I am not an opera singer I have something rather similar. It's almost like my voice never properly broke and I was left with two fully developed voices which I have always been able to switch between at will, but until I read this article I had never heard of anyone else with this ability. - oh, and before anyone says it, it definitely isn't the same as falsetto.
