Saitama public school board conducts Japan's first survey of transgendered students

The emergency survey was undertaken after a second grade elementary school boy was recently diagnosed with the condition. Gender Identity Disorder (GID) is a psychiatric classification for people who feel their emotional genders are different from their physical genders.
