Hello,

I was wondering if anyone got experiences with clinics in Thailand who perform SRS?
My boyfriend is transgender and currently saving up for having the operation done in the US what would cost about 50k USD according to his research. Now I was referred to the medical services in Thailand by my dad who also got a transgender girlfriend. Unfortunately he couldn't tell me a specific clinic/doctor who is good at this. Therefore I am hoping to get some feedback on here.
So far I just started my research and stumbled upon www.orchidheart.com which offer their services for only 18k USD.

If anyone has suggestions please drop a line. Good and bad experiences are welcomed.

Add to that 18k, 3 flights to and from Thailand along with food and hotel fees. Some of that can be covered with insurance in the US under the right circumstances.  I am glad you are researching things out before making any decision.

free advice: don't bother with medical tourism companies, aside from questionable quality surgeons, the planning can be done at a website like kayak. (and by dealing with the surgeon directly, money is saved)

Surgery with Dr. Brassard in Canada runs around $20000, Surgery in Belgrade with Dr. Miro runs $14000; no US surgeons do it in one stage (neither does Brassard, he's 2 stage) most are 3 stage.  Phallos will run more.
