Raisin In The Sun

Yesterday I saw an old movie 'Raisin In The Sun'. The movie dates back to 1961. Has anybody ever seen it?

Never saw the original film, but we read the book and acted it out in class when I was in high school. I enjoyed it, I do remember watching a film..but maybe it was a remake because I don't remember it being as old as 1961??

Awesome film, made Sidney a huge star and really brought a different understanding and dialog about race relations to the entire nation.

And Ruby Dee was so wonderful, so powerful.  I loved her in that movie.

It was remade in 2008 with P.Diddy in the lead role, and in 1989 with Danny Glover.

Gods I remember that movie.  Has it been that long ago that it came out.
