Not so sure if someone has discussed this or have experienced with this.

I want to develop my style. If you've read my postings currently I'm a crossdresser, but still I think that I would like to develop my own androgyny style.

So I was planning to arrange a some kind of photo shoot session which could help me to develop my own style. I think a huge amount of pictures might help a lot.

What do I need?
1) a photographer, I think one of my friend might be interested to do it
2) a huge amount of clothes : my own male ones + feminine ones
One of my friends has own "rock oriented" clothing store.
I was thinking to ask her to help me.
Then I need at least another one with more feminine clothes :skirts, tunics, jeans   etc.
Might be tricky to get clothes for this kind of purpose  ???
3) makeup...
If I want to get good photos, I really need good makeup.
4) place to take those photos. Indoor or outdoor?
Maybe indoor 'cause then I could also try out summer clothes.
5) what else? shoes might be a really difficult to find out i.e no connection to shoe shops

I think I can't pay for the photographer or for shop owners, but I was thinking that I could give them a set of finished photos to use to show that their clothes can be used many ways.

What do you think? Is this a good plan or not?

If I manage to arrange this, I'll post a huge amount of pics here too  :P :P

My hair is a big problem for me and it's a problem for my hairdresser too  ::)
Can't do much about it,  as it has always been very thinn  :-\

And even with professional styling gels etc. , my hair is as elastic as iron wire  :P :P

Hmm...
I like the idea of "developing your style". I suppose for me it was a gradual thing, but I don't see why you couldn't speed up the process a bit. I think the best way, though it can be a bit painful, is by comparison. Take photos of yourself in a few different basic looks and do side-by-side comparisons with photos you find of GGs whose looks of which you identify.

Also, think about your ideal concept of feminine self. Is she a minivan driving mom type? A classy career woman? Artistic? Fashion-driven? Jeans and t-shirt laid back? What TV character do you most identify with? What do you do and where do you go? What do you want to do and where do you want to go?

Your personal style should emit from within and reflect your surroundings all at once.

I've recently been getting into the online virtual makeovers (best so far: Instyle and Mary Kay). They've just used head shots, though I suspect there's a full form one around (I'll start looking). While they don't give you realistic visions of yourself, I was surprised at how useful they are. I realized I need to be blonde (working on that) and that I can look great with updos and shorter styles (didn't know that).

Dweia, dear, it sounds like it's about time to look into extra hair (pieces/extensions/wigs). This can be a hassle and you can certainly do them wrong, but done right, they can be great. With thinning, there isn't really much option.

I got this idea last time I went shopping. I found a lot of nice feminine clothes, but not so many androgynous.

I was trying out a huge amount of clothes and I thought that it I should have take camera with me. So afterwards I could check those photos and think about my style.

I think my current male mode style is jeans & t-shirt. I don't really like ties and collar shirts, but they are ok when I need to dress like that for business meetings. Last summer was so warm, that tank top and skirt was my choice when I was at home.

Now during cold winter I've picked up a couple of tunics and female long t-shirts (also kind of tunic). I've used them with female or male jeans and collar shirt and received good feedback from totally strangers. So I think I kind of know where to go, but I need to find out what is "too feminine" for me.  And a photos of me in different outfits might help a lot to speed up things.

And yes... during summer I would like to wear skirts at work. Just need to figure out the steps to achieve that goal.
