Men sex it up with high heels
It's no longer just women who squeeze into designer footwear – fashion-forward guys find this edgy look really stacks up, I feel taller, fiercer, and it goes with that rock 'n' roll attitude

From Toronto to New York to Paris, young men are squeezing their big feet into high heels from the women's shoe department.

It should be noted these are not Bay St. types or Wall St. bankers, or drag queens looking for cheap patent pumps from Payless.

They are fashion fanatics and only the hottest labels in women's footwear will do: Balenciaga, Rodarte and Alexander Wang.

That's about the worst thing to come out of the fashion world in my lifetime. As if it wasn't bad enough that half the population was expected to wear painful, foot-deforming, dangerous footwear - now they want to inflict it on the other half?

High heels are modern foot-binding. They are evil.

Let's not forget the male mini-kilt and man-t-hose!

That would complete their ensemble.

This is soooooo wrong, next thing you know all guys will be gay and I'll be screwed over...well...... maybe not the best choice of words.... but you know what I mean.
They should focus on making the perfect guy, not too manly but no where near feminine. Tough but nice and leave it at that.

Personally nothing bothers me....if a guy wants to wear heels let him! ^^

I hate to be the one to challenge on here but perfect is all in the eyes of the viewer......and besides clothes have no bearing on if they're gay or not....just saying :P

It sure is (eye of the beholder) and I was expressing my personal opinion as I am entitled to I didn't hold a gun to your head or anything.
I'm sorry if my gay comment eluded to you thinking that clothes equal sexual preference, I'd be scared to think that anyone could think that, so fear not.
Maybe I should of added a few !! !! or :P:P:P or a </sarcasm> *shrugs*
People can do what they want I agree I just don't find effeminate guys attractive, that was all I was trying to say.
*quickly stuffs the 'burn man-heels' protest sign to the back of the cupboard* <--joke, that ..was..a..joke!! lol :D

I want to express myself as androgyne and currently it's really hard to find out nice shoes to use with my tight female jeans. So it would be nice if shoe makers will see this as an opportunity to create wide and big enough shoes for everyone.

personally, foot torture should be illegal. If someone wants to wear em go for it but, if it gets to where society expects it, I need a new society.

High heeled footwear were originally sex neutral and it's only really in recent times that they've become connected to the female sex - it's like skirts which are far more suitable for male-bodied people than female-bodied people due to their respective anatomies.

Personally, if the clothing/footwear are designed to complement the features of the wearer, then there should be no problem. If these young men want to wear these death-traps, then they should be available in mens sizes. As for myself, I'll be staying with my UK size 12 trainers, thanks.
I have no concrete idea of my gender identity, but I believe I am an Androgyne.

My heels are all very comfy. Perhaps it comes down to finding the right pair?

Can't stand pointly toed ones, they squish your feet.

I like the way I click along. I like the way I have to step delicately down stairs, I like the way they add a swing to my hips. I like the way it makes your bum perkier. All good in my book.

Ha!  Finally a payback for all those who laughed about my platform shoes back in the 70's.

I love wearing heels and think we girls should be nice enough to share the torture with our male counterparts.    Thanks for a good laugh!
