A transgender photographer has condemned a "vicious" bride who humiliated her for the way she dressed.

Kate Summers was hired by Melanie and Anthony Vaughan to take their official photographs on their wedding day.

But more than six months later Mrs Vaughan went to a national newspaper to complain about Ms Summers, who used to be a Ricky Gervais impersonator called Dave Stonestreet, for turning up at their wedding dressed as a woman.

More and more, I'm seeing the term "transgender" used as if it means "transsexual." Is the umbrella term now out of vogue?

Also, I'm not entirely sure what it means to be "biologically female but trapped in a man's body."

Terminology aside, I find myself thinking that if this was the last wedding she was going to shoot and the first time she was dressing en femme, couldn't she have waited a couple of hours till after the wedding?

Okay, I missed a paragraph and had to edit my response after I reread the article. Duh.
