Personal Notes from "CNN Presents: Her Name Was Steven"

http://lorisrevival.blogspot.com/2010/03/personal-notes-from-cnn-presents-her.html

Late on Saturday afternoon, after unloading the dozen or so bags full of groceries from the car, I realized I'd missed the first airing of the CNN Presents documentary "Her Name Was Steven."   Wanting to see the program from beginning to end, I opted to watch the second airing three hours later.   But by 9 p.m., however, I wasn't in the mood to rehash our own family's difficult transition knowing the documentary would trigger those memories.  I changed my mind yet again and opted to tune in at 12 a.m. when the family was asleep.

I kept a new Word document open and took notes using my laptop as the program aired.  Here are some of the more important notes I jotted down while I watched the show.   Remember, this is by no means an all encompassing critique of the documentary and is merely my personal thoughts as I experienced the show.  I'm positive you'll likely see various points of view from others sharing their opinions on other blogs.  Heck, it's nearly 2:30 a.m.
