Each year, transgender people, their families, friends and allies converge on Washington, DC, and go to their members of Congress to talk with them about the need for an Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) that includes gender identity as well as other important legislation.

This year Robyn Carolyn Montague, founder of Transhaven Missouri, Missouri's Trans Advocacy Organization, blogs from the National Center for Transgender Equality Lobby Day and Conference, March 14-16, 2010.

ENDA Lobby Day

Welcome to the wonderful world of Wahington, D.C.  Here I am for a Transgender Community Conference and to lobby Congress for the passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). Looking out the window of my hotel room in DuPont Circle, one sees the ornate building of the American Coatings Association. So here I am; I will be passing along some information from the Conference and my activities in the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday, which is the actual ENDA Lobby Day.
