Hi Vrony,

You could try Alternative Footwear, just google for them. You will need to add a size or two to your normal male shoe size as others have said. Alternative Footwear have a sale on at the moment and some styles go up to size 14!

If you can't face going into shops and trying stuff on that's very understandable, I couldn't either.

As well, if you feel that having stuff delivered to your home is too risky, the Post Office has a Poste Restante service. You just set the delivery address of the order as your name, then Poste Restante, and then the address of your local post office. The goods will be delivered to the Post Office of your choice and you go down there and pick them up. Just search royalmail.com for poste restante if you want full details.

Another online store selling lovely stuff including shoes is StockingsHQ.com

Good luck,

A.S

Hi A.S,
Thanks for the great advice, there are some good bargains at Alt footwear, I'll have to look into the delivery at the post office.

Once again, thanks

Hi Vrony

I missed this thread until now... I've been kind of busy with my writing but as Janet Lynn said there is Transformations which has branches in several cities inlcuding London, Manchester and Birmingham. It's run by an old friend of mine - It's very useful in the early days if you want things like prosthetic breastforms and the like but unless you want to spend a lot of money I wouldn't really recommend it for clothing.

For clothing and shoes in large sizes for ANY trans woman these guys are the business: http://www.classicconfidence.co.uk/shop/ Ok you may have problems with receiving mail order items - but as others have said there must be ways around that. All it takes is a bit of ingenuity I feel, for exmaple if you could find a trans friend who had no problems in that area you could arrange for her to take in parcels for you, or like others suggested maybe a box number of some sort... etc.

UK high street shops which do a good range in larger sizes are Evans, Next, M&S & Bonne-Marche.

Hope that helps you a little.
