Well, I've been looking for a gender therapist. Very lucky for me, I found a therapist withing walking distance. In fact, within running distance (under two miles) from me. So that's awesome, but what's disappointing is that the "new and improved" insurance my father signed me up for probably doesn't cover her.
One other was recommended near me by my mother's new therapist and it says she does "LGBT Affirmative" on her card. What exactly is this supposed to mean? Will she just "affirm" that I have a problem or can I transition like that. Actually, it's already iffy because she claims to be a "feminist, empowerment focused therapist" but anyway I googled it and I still don't know. So maybe one of you might be able to help.
