StarryNight

Hello, please call me Carson. :)

I am BardicFire's girlfriend, and I'm here to swap tales, troubles, tears, and laughter with other significant others. In case you don't know BardicFire, she is an MTF who has recently decided that she wants to formally identify as female in the future. Before I met her a matter of several months ago, to my knowledge, I did not know any transgendered people, and am still pretty much a n00b. :/ I'm just sorting through everything that's going on in my head, looking for a little comfort from people who've already been through this journey or are currently on their way like we are.

I'm an 18-year-old bisexual-ish Unitarian Universalist tomboy whose favorite thing to do is to surround herself with the people she cares about. I draw, preferably portraits, try my hand at making jewelry, love cosplay of any sort, go to as many festivals and other such events as possible, get really into sports like hockey, and generally running around in the woods and creeks and whatnot. I like anime and manga, but I never seem to get around to watching and reading as much as I'd like. Actually, that goes for a lot of things. >_< So anyway, that's me in a very small nutshell. I'm looking forward to sharing with you all. ^_^

Hi Carson, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 4400 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another SO. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hugs and Love,

Welcome to Susan's, Carson. :icon_flower:

It is a strange and wonderful journey to become ourselves, often full of joys and brambles and dangers both internal and external.  If you can help each other you will both fare better.  But it can be tough on the SOs.  I hope you find the help you need here, plus a little laughter.

I'm a UU out west.  Getting any flooding in your area?  I've found my minister and my church people to be a great help.  I have been completely open with them all through my transition.  They don't always understand but they have always been supportive.

Good luck to you both.

Hello,
Welcome aboard.
**removes trans hat and puts on spouse hat***
I am MTF and my wife is also in transition. S/he is androgyne but in active transition ussing HRT to increase hir male traits. Eventually my mate may identify as andro but the look will be male. Not something I was exactly prepared for but not a game breaker. Having a mate in transition can be very painful and exciting at the same time. Our somewhat unique situation has provided us the oportunity to understand eachother better than I ever could hav imagined. As time goes forward you will notice changes in your spouse, sometime they can be unsettleing, but keep in mind the more your mate changes the more of the inner true self of your spouse is being revealed.
**puts ->-bleeped-<- hat back on**
It is so nice to see some one dedicated to thier mate instead of the vision they had of said mate. So many of us loose everything. For you to stay with the person you love when they go through transition is a testament to an open mind and heart.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
