I'm mtf and over 50 and I am considering laser hair removal as an alternative to electrolysis. I would be interested in knowing what experiences other ts girls have had.

Hey babe,

We have a whole forum on hair removal:
https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/board,81.0.html

I think you will likely find a lot of what you need there.

I had laser on my face. It was bloody painful and it won't get your greys or blond hairs. There is no candy coating the pain of it, especially if your hair is dense and dark like mine.
But I had a fairly good result - after 10 sessions (I have stuborn hair), perhaps 80% removal. I'm now geting electrolysis to clean up the rest.

I think it is a good place to start as you do you whole face at once, but because of growth cycles and things you keep getting growback but it progressively thins. Electro is more of a sure thing but it is very slow. Quite a few people use them in combination.

If you are one hormones it is suggested you will get a better and quicker result from laser or electrolysis.

Hope this helps. If you have any questions let me know.

xx

As Nicky said there is another thread, but if you have grey hair, laser will not work.  You will be stuck with electrolysis. ( pun intended ). ;D
