Besides gender?

Game design, been working on that for about two years now.
Getting into shape, massively overweight so I really need to fix that :embarrassed:

Not much else I guess, I don't tend to "obsess" on things :'(

Quote from: Miniar on April 04, 2010, 07:30:57 PMThese ones, I'm obsessed with wings (as in, the anatomy of a bird's wing and the structure of the feathers and so on).
I want to build full sized articulated wings to wear to a fetish event... or.. anywhere really!..

With a good 4 meter wingspan when fully stretched out!

Aha, so I am not the only one with an bit of an obsession with wings!

Anyway, I guess I can't really answer this since I'm not an adult

MOst of my spare time lately has been taken up with set construction. Were now into show week, so I'm practically living in the theatre right now, making last minute changes and running through the show and set changes every day.  Thats my obsession half the year.

And cycling. I recently bought a vintage racing bike, and I think I'm in love with it. It still has most of the origional parts from 1973 and runs perfectly. If I had time I would take my camera (my third major obsession) and ride around taking pictures every day.  I end up taking lots of pictures of the bike.

Other things kind of come and go, like Final fantasy, painting, guitar, and tap dancing.

Figuring out a way to pay for my kids college.

After that, figuring out how to pay for retirement.

Everything else seems rather insignificant at the moment.

Live-action roleplaying (Vampire and mage - dress up and act petty) with the Camarilla

EVE Online

That pretty much sums it up - oh and helping Tonya with Everquest 2 :)

Looking for new facial hair (this takes up at least half of my waking hours :P )

Yes, this!

And eating anything that doesn't run away fast enough!

I tend to cycle through obsessions. Apart from getting my life in order (moving, preparing for new job, tiding up paperwork, etc), right now I'm back on a linux kick.

Though linux is my #1 mainstay, I also go through regular stages of being obsessed with -
- Psychology and social science
- Anything to do with other cultures, or other ways of thinking about and doing things
- Cars, engines and driving techniques, racing karts
- Typography and design
- Usability and product design (in particular interface design)
- Space
- Anything technology related
- Security (physical - sensors, locks, etc)

Looking at this list, I think I just might like "systems of interconnected components" in general

I can't remain obsessed with one thing only, I'd get bored. There's just too many cool and interesting things in the world! And the longer I'm around, the more interesting stuff I find!

Music, ok so most people like music but I think I may be a little obsessed with bands such as the Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, Coheed and Cambria and Wolves in the Throne room

Also right now im kinda obsessed with the Wheel of Time books, absolutely love them

Podcasts, I love podcasts cos they are so easy to listen to, you can take them anywhere and listen while doing almost anything, thousands of hours of free fun!

I don't really obsess too much now-a-days. I do have worries and stresses and things I'm interested in that keep coming back but I don't really obsess over them.

I enjoy taking pics of myself, kind of documenting changes and seeing more and more of myself in them than that chick who use to be there. I'd like to grow more fantastic facial hair. :P

Anything to do with art, painting, calligraphy, graphic arts, photography...

Anything to do with music, listening to it, playing it...

Trying to get a job is a big focus in my life right now.

Trying to keep motivated and not get weighed down too much with depression.

Well, I'm 18, so this 'adult-ness' is borderline!  ;D
My current obsessions are:
~Learning languages (or imagining I am)
~Foreign films
~Fishkeeping
~Doing voice impressions
~Retro games (Sega games, Pokemon etc.)
...That last one's still fairly childish though.  :D

I haven't managed to obsess over anything since pokemon came out, around 12 years ago.
Closest I get these days is a mild jewellery obsession, but the expense counters the cravings.

Ductigami.

So far, I've made 6 duct tape wallets of 3 different designs. Being somewhat unsatisfied with various "messenger" bags I've seen, I'm thinking of making 1 of duct tape.

I really like men's clutch bags, but they can be expensive. So, I DL'd some pics of 1 off the 'net and I'm working on making something similar with duct tape.

And, I don't use just duct tape. I've used heavy clear "book" tape for ID pockets in 1 of the wallets. And, I used that clear tape as a calendar folder for a small calendar I printed up using half-sized letter paper. The clear tape allows for the current year to be seen through the front cover, last year in the front inner flap, and next year in the back inner flap. A rubber band hold the sheets in place.

Tape is fun.

xD Grey, I was trying to type up my own post but had to stop for a bit since I had to laugh about yours.  ;D

Anywho, obsessions come and go but usually float around this field:
- Alternate Reality Games
- Games (PC/PS3)
- Music (I listen to music most of the day - yer I wear headphones at work)
- Communication
- Fitness

Only when they aren't looking. I use scissors and a box cutter when making these things!
