That's not really true.  I think we're our own worst critics as a community, plus we're more critical of minor flaws than someone not trained to look for them would be.  Sort of like gaydar.

Yeah... I have to wonder if she read the first two pages of the thread before saying that.

I disagree, many of our non T friends and the general public are ruthless and will tell it like it is. Where as members of the T community forums will say 'you look lovely dear' even though it might not be anywhere near the truth. We are bound by rules and regulations not to say anything negative or constructive.

many trans people can be ruthless too.

it's all about who the person is.  I think trans people could be more harsh because we tend to over obsess about every little minuscule factor of our faces, body, etc.  I think the general public can say whether we pass or not but not based on anything concrete that they can point out most of the time.

But I dunno and I think it really depends who you're running into.

I need to go out shopping for some more clothes, that will probly help,  I really have a limited selection.

I think your changes are going well.  Your hair looks the same as my daughter's was a couple of months ago.
The only comment I would make is that your eyebrows could do with more of an arch shape to them.

I agree, arch eyebrows, I think you look fine, hon.  (I just wish I was that thin!)

Yea, I was quite surprised by some of them.

Tough crowd here but everyone has your best interest at heart. I think you will be completely passable in time. I also have thin arms and bones and I consider these a big plus. HRT has worked worked very well on me and my guess is you will never be mistaken for the man you are not in time. Many would like to be starting from where you are.

You're looking better and better as you go. :)

I don't know why everybody says your arms are too skinny. I think they look perfect for your frame. I love your dress - you look absolutely hot.

really surprised by the beginning comments..I disagree with them entirely.
I think you just need to relax in the pictures more! :)
Otherwise, you look great.

hey, you've been doing some nice changes! I really like your new style and haircut :D

BTW you really look like a lady friend of mine... both look cute ^_^ are you planning to start hormones soon? Because I'm sure they're really going to help you to develop a more feminine look in your face and body, don't get me wrong, you look good right now and you seem to have potential, but I think hormones will help you a lot!

I'm really surprised by the over the top comments on this site regarding HRT.

HRT is not the holy grail or a special magic potion that will turn us all into a raving beauty or a page 3 model. Mostly the results for most people over the age of 14 years old are fairly limited. Depending on our genetic make up and inherited genes there is a huge variation in results from HRT.

Define 'limited'?

Ok I'm probably running the risk of the admins getting mad at me here, but I feel like I gotta say it.

Every 5th post of Naturally Blonde's is saying how HRT is virtually useless. She didn't get the results she wanted, and again Naturally Blonde I'm really sorry for that.

But seriously, she dismisses anybodies praise of it or personal experiences as an over exaggeration or anomaly, she says it can't do things people have PERSONALLY seen it do.

She thinks her experience has to be reality for everyone and that anyone elses experience is exaddurated.

I really don't like attacking people like this, and I'll probably get in trouble for it and probably rightfully so, but it's not right that she pretty much spends her time trying to practically deter people from going on it or telling them it's pointless because of her own personal bias and then has the arrogance to dismiss anybody elses opinion as exadduration or wishful thinking.

Seriously, check out her posting history, this is the 2nd post of this nature in a few minutes!

I have also noticed this.

I looked at the first page a little closer, approximately half of the posts are about how HRT doesn't work (I counted 7 out of I think 20)

You know, Naturally Blonde, if you just stated your opinions AS opinions I wouldn't really be making an issue out of it. But you always state it as fact and THEN you accuse people who challenge that with their own experiences of exaggeration.

Hey I think it's time to lay off Naturally Blonde. I don't like this whole "yeah, me too" and "if you weren't da, then da" aspect of where these threads are going. It feels as though people are ganging up on Naturally Blonde, when what we should be doing is trying to help her. When you say "I don't like attacking people... but" it's much like people who say "I'm not racist... but". Going so far as to count her negative posts and then putting the updates in multiple posts is going a bit too far, in my opinion. A simple, "Hey Naturally Blonde, can you please tone it down with the negative comments?" would have sufficed. Even better would have been sending her a private message, and asking her to tone things down, rather than exposing all of this on a public forum for all to see.

This, and everyone, please, let's all take the chill pill, we don't need to make a drama about something this lame do we? specially over the internet :P

I did send her a private message asking her to tone it down 3 months ago, she said she isn't going too because she's telling the truth.

I don't want to gang up on her either, but I don't think it's fair to the people that don't know to have her stating her, quite clearly unpopular opinion as if it were a fact.

Like I said, if she didn't have this "I'm right, everyone else is kidding themselves" attitude, it wouldn't bother me.

I'm just gonna make one last comment before I leave, because I have the feeling that nukes will start to fall into this thread and Hell is going to unleash:

This is something we tend to do in overclock.net and it's part of their TOS: If you're going to post something as a fact, post a link to a credible source, otherwise you post might be edited or deleted.

I guess we should add something similar to this place... you decide
