My endo called today and based on my prolactin and testosterone levels, he is increasing my estradiol and my spironolactone.  I thought I peed a lot now.  Oh boy.

Yeah, you will wear out the carpet and floor going back and forth.  ;D

Thank the gods I don't have to do that any more.

My Estradiol increased to twice daily today. What I've found here lately is that if I get any meaningful break from peeing, I probably just need more water.  ;)

I have been on spiro for six weeks now and haven't noticed any increased trips to the bathroom.  Perhaps six weeks isn't long enough time to notice increased urination or perhaps I will notice when I go back to my provider for another blood check and possible dosage increase.

Sorry to the moderators for mentioning the "d" word.

You can mention the word dosage, you just cannot give the dosage of medication you are taking.  It is to help prevent people from self medicating.

If I increase up my medication I get bad side effects like read and swolen genitalia. Also severe headaches and a very high prolactin level.

Hi, I have read that increasing the dosage does not necessarily mean better results as the body will only use what it can and dump the rest. There is an optimum point where the body will balance its self. That's why higher dosages sometimes does not work.

Having just been to my endo today, we happened to discuss the difference between my dose and the higher dosages that some other people are on. He pointed out that the higher the dose, the more poisonous it becomes.

That is why we are monitored by our endocrinologists.

Once daily doesn't really keep your levels stable. I don't think any pill based full HRT for MTF does just once daily.

The doc only had me on once daily for two weeks. It's conceivable that this was sort of a "break in" period to see if I had any sort of adverse response to it all.

Next appointment is this week, so if I think about it, maybe I'll inquire.

Not much of an increase in urine output, however breasts have gotten more sensitive.
