Wouldn't I be able to tell?

So, today my endo (who I despise and do not trust) called me and said that my T levels are twice what they should be but was very surprised when I told her that my acne has gotten better than when I wasn't on T and I have not had any negative effects or been a crazy raving lunatic. And then said that regardless of how high my levels are I don't need to get bloodwork again for another 6 months... Is this normal? Wouldn't I be able to tell somehow if I really had that high of T levels? Especially since she said that all my other levels are fine?

You may not know the answers to these questions, and that's okay.  Did you get a free, total, or both drawn?  Did she mean the level was high for a cismale, for being ftm, for this point in your medical transition, or that is was high period?

The endocrine system isn't my strong suit.  However I do know that hormone levels fluctuate and humans are known to exaggerate.  Unless she gave you an actual number that was double the high end of average, I wouldn't be concerned if she isn't and you aren't having distressing symptoms.

If you don't trust her, is there anyone else you could go to that you do trust?  Even if it's just for a second opinion on your levels.

She just said that they are high in general, she knows I am ftm and didn't tell me if it was for free or total.

The reason I am upset is because she is cutting my dose in half.

I will probably go for a second opinion.

Oh man that really sucks.  I think I'd flip if that happened to me.

Are we allowed to discuss levels? I know we can't talk about actual dosages.  Although if she didn't tell you your level, that would be kinda pointless lol.  I'm just curious if she's bsing you for some reason.

She didn't tell me the levels. I am going to check with my general doctor to see if he can give me a second opinion and tell me my actual levels and if he would recommend I go somewhere else.

Yeah, definitely get a second opinion and make sure you see your lab work, not just get a verbal report of it.  I really hope everything works out for you.

No, there is no way that you can assay your own endocrine condition with any confidence; evaluation of symptoms will not provide a reliable indicator.  Medical technology is required.

While it is entirely possible that your enemy entertains some irrational prejudice against you, for which you bear no responsibility... have you entertained the possibility that you are wrong?

Ask your endo to see your results and explain it to you. Mine always show me my levels with everything tested and shows the therapeutic and safe ranges. Also remember that if your T levels get too high the T converts to E.

It is what it is—and whatever.

My T level is double what it should be even when my next injection is due.

I was on Sustanon 250 originally and had to go down to *** every * weeks.

Then I (because my original endo left) got switched to Nebido.

I was originally prescribed **** every * weeks.

It's funny but even though with Sustanon my levels (even at * weeks) were too low with Nebido they are still too high with *** weekly injections of *** every ***.

I keep all my blood test results and have done right from the start.

It's not the gaps between injections that matter. It's what you are taking and your body size and metabolic rate.

Cheers

If you don't trust your endo, then you should really consider finding another one.
You're going to be seeing the endo long term, after all.

If your T level are too high, then you are going to want your dose cut. It sucks, but it's better than it turning to E.
