Group invites Bachmann to Minneapolis LGBT families conference

Michele Bachmann to this weekend's Rainbow Families conference in Minneapolis to "meet the families she is demonizing." FEC criticized Bachmann's statements about LGBT people, particularly in regard to hate crimes legislation.

One statement by Bachmann that the group has taken issue with is Bachmann's testimony on the House floor on the hate crimes bill that became law last year. "But who would be protected? A pedophile, someone who considers themselves gay, someone who considers themselves transgender, someone who considers themselves a cross-dresser? That is who is protected."
