Shaving is a good idea in any case because it removes the girlish peach fuzz as well.  My own current whisker patch is in a stupid place, though, it's under my chin. I really have no desire to grow a neckbeard, although in my case I could only manage a neck-goatee.

all i want 4 now is a small stubble under my chin so people can see it. i dont think i can grow it enough to get a goatee lol

My patch along the sideburn area has been moving lower and filling out more in the past few months.  I can't tell if it's because I took the dhea or because I stopped taking my birth control and am letting my PCOS run wild, but my sideburns down extend half-way down my cheeks.  I still shave them, of course, because they're not full and the hair is still a little thin (though not peach fuzz-- it's actual hair), but it's still nice.  And I've got four or five new hairs on my chin/neck and a bunch more thick black chest hairs.  All without being on T.  Sometimes I wonder if I'm causing my body to do all this by sheer willpower...
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
Why bounce around to the same damn song?

I wish. That would be awesome.

I want a goatee too.
I tried shaving, not enough facial hair there to do it on its own.
:/

I feel the same way. I swear my body hair was not as noticeable way back before I figured things out. It feels like all of a sudden, bam lol.

I had one of those black chin hairs since I was about 15. Got to about 3 by 18 and that was it pre-T.

My hair (or fuzz) has always grown longer on the chin and sides, and corners of my top lip, where it was brown.

If you shave the fuzz, then yeah - the blunt hair ends will feel rougher and more like stubble.

I'm about 6 weeks on T, and the hair growth is coming in in a similar pattern to what was there already - it's just denser, darker, and the growth area has spread.  I need to shave every 2nd day instead of every week.

I noticed what could be mistaken for an increase in body hair pre-T, but I think it's a combination of appreciating what you have, and actively looking for more hair. Though some people do get hairier as they get older (up until mid 20's, maybe 30?).

Letting PCOS run rampant and cutting any birth control will help. I lost a lot of body hair when I took that stuff (I've never had PCOS though, just insanely high T levels for no apparent reason). I didn't need to shave my face at all.

I'm going to grow myself a nice mo and short goatee combo when the hair comes in. Joined, of course. And maybe some longer sideburns to go with that :).
