i heard that on T ur actual rib cage wont get bigger but that you might build up muscle and that would increase your chest size is this true? Cause im getting ready to start T and my rib cage is already 40 inches thats just pure ribcage to. i can muscle super fact now so on T ill probably end up like hulk my calfs are like 16in no fat on em. god i need to go on a diet. i measured just below my lumps its not the widest part but it works above my chest just below the pits is like 44"

Only a chance if you get in your teens.

40" is a lot though. If you're not fat, you're already bulky/masculine/built.

Why do you need to go on a diet because your rib cage is big and you have large calves with no fat?

Just letting you know my ribcage measurement is 40in. I'm a mature genetic male about to start transitioning to female. So 40 in is ok

I've only been on T for 6 months but I have gained a lot of muscle in my back. I had not been working out but I started working out 4-5 days a week about 2 weeks ago.  My back and torso look a lot wider now than did when I was pre-t. So i'm sure my ribcage size hasn't increased just my muscle mass, which makes me look bigger.  It is a good thing for me though because I'm pretty skinny.

where did you guys measure to get ribcage measurement? underbust? that includes Ann.
I just have the feeling Ann and the OP might be measuring differently cause the OP probably can't measure as high as Ann can due to.. tumors.

I can tell you that I know quite a bit of men with "underbust" measurement of less than 30 inch, so their "bust" is less than 40 too.

Then again I know quite a bit who are probably around 40, 40 sounds like a really big number. O_o considering that for bra bands you use underbust +5 inch to estimate the ribcage size for the upper parts and the average for women is 32-36 after the addition.

Uh, my 'underbust' pre-T was 32.75" and by 9 months on T (and some working out, not a whole lot) it was 35".  I haven't measured recently/since I've had top surgery.

Well I'm on the feminine/weak chested side of things then I guess, I get 30" flat.

I'm a really skinny guy but pre-T my ribcage measurement was 26" and at 3 months on T it was 28.5" and it has definitely grown in the past month I just haven't measured yet.
Call me a cheat but I make my own fate.

just under, no +5 jazz

Well you guys are all in normal male range if you are using me as comparison  subject. I'm at like 27-28 under. My bf is a little bit more than that but not by much I think.. he has natural T ;)

Just a note: I have lung damage which caused my lungs, ribs to expand to keep adequate oxygen in my system. So my doc says.
