A pilot at Prince William's RAF base is transitioning to become a woman.

Flight Lieutenant Ayla Holdom, 29, who was born male, told friends this week that she expects to complete her transition within a year.

and for a more sensationalistic approach!  ::)

PRINCE William's RAF base is to get a "new" woman chopper pilot - after one of the male airmen told colleagues he's having a sex swap.

Transsexual Flight Lieutenant Ian Holdom, 29, is transforming himself into a woman called Ayla.

The officer is stationed at the same RAF base as Wills and a military source told The Sun: "Prince William must have been a bit taken aback when he found out Ian, or rather Ayla, was becoming a woman.
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde

As I keep saying we are a lot more broad minded on this side of the pond.

Being Trans can still sometimes present small issues - but for most of us it never becomes the whopping big issue that it still seems to be in some parts of the USA.

Yes, people would probably be more shocked to find that Prince William had been a secret lifelong Man U member!

or indeed transgender himself  ;D - which is of course EXACTLY what happens to a fictional Royal prince in my screenplay entitled  "The man who would be Queen" for which I am now seriously trying, with my co writer, to raise development funding. Any would be investors large or small just PM me ;) (I have also indavertantly reclaimed that rather brilliant title from the likes of J. Michael Bailey et al. - although I did not know of his academic paper by that name until after I had completed the script.)

So to those who told me my idea was too far fetched... it's coming closer... you mark my words!

I have a feeling I will like your story by that title a whole heck of a lot more then I did his book.
