VIRU5

I'm not very good at introduction posts, but I guess I'll give it a shot.

My name, I'm not sure what I want to go by just yet, so I guess you can call me Virus or VIRU5.
I'm not quite sure what to consider myself just yet, since it seems that everywhere I look, all of these gender terms are defined a little bit differently, so I'm a bit scared to say I'm one thing when the proper term would be something else. It also doesn't help that I'm not entirely sure what I am myself. Some days I prefer to be female, others, male. I guess the best way to say it is I feel like I'm both genders at the same time.

Hopefully, joining this community can help me find some friendly people that are like me, since I don't have any friends that can relate to me in this way. D=

Plenty of androgynes around.    :icon_wave: Welcome to Susan's. Many have questioned themselves and asked the question   ??? "Who am I?". It takes time and introspection to figure that out and often with the help of a therapist and/or friends like those on this site, you manage. I hope your exploration goes well. When it comes to terms, in the rules part somewhere it tells you what the terms mean as used on this site. Most places seem to have the same definitions.

After reading, it seems androgyne would probably fit me best, but I still have a lot of self searching to do.

Thanks for the warm welcome. =D

Hi Virus, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 4800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another andro. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hugs and Love,
Janet

Welcome.  Yes, the others are right:  You DO sound like an androgyne.  That's cool.  Feel free to just be yourself here.  You're accepted.  Get involved and post!

Chicago?  Awesome!  I went to The University of Chicago and studied under S. Chandrasekhar (preeminent theoretical astrophysicist).  Live there for a few years.  What a town!  Many of the smartest people I've ever known are from Chicago.

Glad you're here!

Big Sister Sandy:

Yes, indeed, I was talking about you in particular as well as one or two other folks from Chicago.

I KNEW you'd catch it!  To quote Sky Masterson (Marlon Brando) in the 1955 movie "Guys & Dolls,":  "Sandy, how goes your percentage of life?"  Hope all is well!

For the record, I never actually graduated from the U. of Chicago or anywhere else for that matter.  Will always remember Chicago as a most amazing place.  So much to see and do there!

"Nicely-Nicely!"

One of my most favorite quotes from the movie is from Sky:
QuoteOne of these days in your travels, a guy is going to show you a brand-new deck of cards on which the seal is not yet broken. Then this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of this brand-new deck of cards and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider.

I too am undegreed, except from the school of hard knocks that many of seem to enroll in.

I love Chicago, I've lived here all my life and anywhere else that I go I always compare it to Chi.

I will ALWAYS speak well of Chicago!  Otherwise, you may dispatch Harry the Horse and Big Julie out here to teach me some respect!  As long as afterwards we can all fly back to Chicago and see Miss Adelaide at The Hot Box!

"Ooohhh, good old reliable Nathan, ... Nathan, Nathan Detroit!!!"

Oh, 1955:  The year of my nativity, "Guys and Dolls," "Marty" with Ernest Borgnine and several other great movies!  Those were the days!

"Whyyy, Nat'an!  Have you been clockin' Lindy's cheesecake?"

"Would I do such a thing?"

"Sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down!  Sit down, you're rockin' the boat!!!"
