I fancied making a thread all about positive moments people have had. I tend to view the whole of humanity as guilty until proven innocent so it's always nice to hear about the good stuff in life. Please share your experiences ;D

Here's mine to start:

I was talking to an old friend I've known since way before transition and he wanted to join my guild on World of Warcraft. I said I would get him an invite...but he had to promise not to out me or anything because all the members just knew me as a regular guy. He responded with "eh? you ARE a regular guy" - it made my day; and made me feel a little bad for assuming he was going to be an ass and start she'ing me all over the place :D

I've been going to the local LGBT center for a support group. Most of the group is of the LGB variety, there's only a few of us T's (so far). The first time I went it was all 'sir' and 'he'. I think someone must have set them straight (no pun intended! :P), because the last few times I've gone it's been 'ma'am' and 'she'. One person even asked my personal pronoun preference.

Funny how one has to teach those within our own community these types of things, but at least they're learning... And accepting!! :)

P.S. Great idea for a thread!!

That sounds like a really awesome moment, I wish I had something like that to share

Seeing how many people I can coax a smile out of as I go about a busy day

Today went nearly like clock work
The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

When I came out and everyone believed me and accepted it (well, mostly. Now they do more.)

That was much, much better than anything I'd ever expected.

My oldest sister just shocked me by introducing me as "little brother Nick" to a friend of hers I haven't met before.

Sat in the living room with them right this second....slouching over and feeling self conscious of my voice and lack of binding...wasn't expecting to have to pass at this actual moment....but I still feel all warm and fuzzy that she introduced me properly.

Gratz!!! My sister is about the only true advocate I have. She may mess up but very very rarely ever since I first told her. She is wonderful and gets the people around her to do the same. My only complaint is...I see no need for people who don't know me to be told of a female past. Life goes on and I will be moving on in under 2 years.
