ohh no!!!! im so sorry sandy >.< i didnt see your post when i wrote the stuff this morning.. thank you for your help (and im sorry for sounding like an ass...;_;) and i know once i start i cant turn back, this is why im asking these (and the chainsaw is a bit rash ._.) questions i just want to be able to understand what my body may or may not go through once i've gotten the surgeries and such.
No offence taken. But the others have given you some serious answers. Also, many of the questions have already been answered a number of times. If you take some time to review the WIKI here
https://www.susans.org/wiki/Main_Page, you should find all the answers you need.
The chainsaw answer was tongue-in-cheek by the way.
And actually, SRS is the
LAST part of transition. Transition will take YEARS. And it has quite a number of components. As the others have indicated, if your therapist has no idea of gender transition, you have the wrong one. You need to see a therapist who has training in gender transition.
HRT only affects the soft tissue, it does not affect hard tissue like cartilage or bone, so you will never grow shorter than you already are.
But realize that there are women who are tall and only a very, very few of them are trans women like me. Don't really worry about ending up as a 5'9" woman . I'm 5'10" and no one looks at me any different than any other woman.
But I am very serious about being afraid. Even just mentioning to people that you think you might be transsexual will cause people to shun you and affect just about every relationship you have. This is not a journey to be taken lightly or without your complete commitment.
Take some time and look around and get comfortable. We try not to be mean here. We really do play nice and we are here for you. Most new people introduce themselves and tell us a little bit about themselves. Feel free to take advantage of that.
