Hey all,
It has been a long time since I last posted... Sorry about that had a lot to deal with recently..
I have finally had all my funding approved and am now waiting for my first appointment with the Gender Specialists in London. Unfortunatly it isn't until October!!!
Been extremely low recently... it is getting more difficult for me to cope with everything the longer i have to wait... There is light at the tunnel but unfortunatly is is a way off.

How did you deal with depression and have you any tips?
Hugs,
April xx

Sometimes hard to see the shiny stuff with all the tarnish.  Just work on polishing the tarnish off and before you know it, October will be here. Practice your mannerisms, voice, get some clothes, imagine all the good things to come and be glad you are not still waiting for the funding.

This too shall pass.

You endure it sweetheart, and it isn't easy. You probably can't skip it and as strange as this sound, why would you?

What you can do is have supportive people around you, or even someone close who if nothing else just listens and understands. On those not so gray days heed LordKAT's advice. (Hi LordKAT! - me <3 Clark Gable! :D)

Be well. :)

Hi Aprilnewark, how do you do?

I think, the key is the Patient and the patient is the best practice than ever.
The most important think is our mind, our mind is a trigger what we have suppose to be. :D :D :D

Write to your GP and copy letter to the GC that you are finding the wait very distressing and can they speed it up?   If you are no spring chicked you must mention that older folks need faster progress and quote the 1999 High Court case of the North West Authority.
This starts the paper trail that you may need to take to a lawyer eventually.
Incidentally the 18 Weeks rule applies to surgery and other therapies.  Don't let them fob you off with endless waits.
