Thank you all for your kind wishes.  The surgery went well and my recovery has been rapid despite a few bumps along the road.  I'm just now getting back to prowling around here and found this.  I'm sorry for the delay in acknowledging all the good wishes.  (Your good wishes and kind thoughts must have worked. ;))
